New Family Search

Last Sunday Kelly, Melissa, Mitch & Peter taught us about the New Family Search program the Church is rolling out.

Log on (no www. needed) with this link: new.FamilySearch.org

Each of you should have been given your membership number and confirmation date. You will need to these to register & build a profile. Be sure to pick a sensible user name since it'll be the one you have for the rest of your life and will appear with all your entries.

This website will replace the old "Temple Ready" program in an attempt to avoid the millions of duplicate ordiances performed every year simply because the information hadn't been updated. This will be a marvelous blessing and is so fun to see your family tree at a glance!

Wednesday, March 5 Activity

In John, chapter 13, we read after eating the Last Supper, Jesus poured water into a basin. He then washed the Apostles’ feet and dried them with a towel. Jesus explained that He had done this to teach them that they were to serve others. He said, “If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.”

Service is an essential part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ--both to serve and be served. For Wednesday night's Mutual activity Sister Nedra taught us "Six Steps to Happy Feet." She gave each girl their own laminated guide plus a cute little bag with a little foot scrubber, sander, cuticle stick and lotion.

The Beehives & MiaMaids partnered up and each girl took turns learning how to give the other a pedicure and then a relaxing foot rub using their reflexology chart. Afterwards they polished their newly scrubbed toes and then polished off some treats! Of course the evening was not over until we each completed a "good turn daily" slip to add to the bowl.
